Most times they get their green colour from a variety of different leafy greens added, but the green tinge can also come in other forms such as fruit and superfoods such as spirulina (which has the most beautiful greenish/blue colour in my opinion)
Essentially, green smoothies are a mix of nutrient-rich leafy greens, vitamin-rich fruit + a liquid base. Other beneficial add-ins include healthy fats + superfoods to boost the green smoothie detox + cleanse benefits.
